This morning, the CEV together with the Local Organising Committee of the CEV EuroBeachVolley 2020, taking place in Jurmala, Latvia have taken the decision of postponing all matches from the third day of the competition and continue tomorrow, 18 September at an alternative location.

The CEV and the Local Organizing Committee of the CEV EuroBeachVolley 2020 taking place in Jurmala, Latvia, are announcing that the event will continue tomorrow, 18 September, at an alternative location, Ruukki Beach Center Jurmala where four courts will be available for use.
For safety reasons, the matches will be played without spectators. Further details regarding the return to Majori Beach and the Main Court will come as soon as available.
The decision comes as weather conditions have worsened, with high intensity winds and heavy rain making it impossible for the matches to go ahead as planned.

The CEV EuroBeachVolley 2020 has reached its third day of competition, with the women’s side having already played two match days, while the men had only played one match day.
We will continue to keep you informed as things evolve in Jurmala, Latvia.
UPDATE – 2.30 pm Local Time
Following the continuing bad weather conditions in Jurmala, the CEV and the Local Organizing Committee have decided that no matches will be played today, 17 September.
A decision regarding the schedule of tomorrow’s match day will be made as soon as clearer indications on the weather forecast will be available.
