Vienna, Austria. After MEVZA’s Executive Committee in Budapest allowed beach volleyball to restart, the ExCom also confirmed a new competition format for the Underage categories.
In recent days, MEVZA sent out the general information to potential organizers for what might be the biggest and truest team-competition in the beach volleyball world. The format is set to National Federations showing up with 4 teams (2 girls and 2 boys teams) that would together play as one team. Consequently, each match-up between 2 nations consists of 8 matches (4 girls and 4 boys respectively) and will result with one nation standing with 4 teams on the podium.
MEVZA suggested the dates beneath, however is open to other ones that might suit the organizers and national federations better.
3 – 6 September 2020 MEVTA U20 championship
10 – 13 September 2020 MEVZA U18 championship
CEV European Championships are set for the following dates this year:
CEV U20 championship Brno (CZE), 9.-13. 9.
CEV U18 championship Izmir (TUR), 16.-20. 9.
CEV U22 championship Izmir (TUR), 23.-27. 9.
