ZOK Bimal-Jedinstvo BRCKO (BIH) clinched the last berth for the women’s MEVZA League Final Four tournament on Sunday evening. The reigning national champions of Bosnia and Herzegonina celebrated a 3-0 (25-21, 26-24, 25-22) home win over GEN-I Volley NOVA GORICA (SLO). Alongside ZOK Bimal-Jedinstvo, the main round winners Nova KBM Branik MARIBOR (SLO) and Calcit Volley KAMNIK (SLO) as well as hosts GEN-I Volley will contest this season’s climax in Nova Gorica on February 8 and 9.

In the last match of the weekend, Nova KBM Branik’s winning streak ended at UOK Banjaluka Volley BANJA LUKA (BIH). After registering ten victories in a row, the CEV Champions League participants were dispatched by the bottom of the table in straight sets (25-14, 25-18, 25-18). Therefore, Nova KBM Branik finalised their main round campaign on 29 points with a 10-2 win-loss record. The regular season will finish with another three fixtures this coming Saturday.
In the men’s competition, Final Four hosts Union Raiffeisen WALDVIERTEL (AUT) will meet second-placed Calcit Volley KAMNIK (SLO) in Zwettl on Monday.
