After a short Christmas break the men’s MEVZA League resumes with one fixture on Saturday. Croatia’s reigning national champions Mladost ZAGREB host Merkur MARIBOR from Slovenia at the Bojan Stranic Sports Hall.
Both have secured 12 points each out of nine matches they have contested so far and are sitting in fifth and sixth place in the current standing, respectively. Therefore Mladost and Merkur are still in range for a Final Four spot. On Monday night the Slovenian side welcomes Final Four tournament hosts Union Raiffeisen WALDVIERTEL (AUT).
The women’s competition continues on January 11 with the Slovenian derby GEN-I Volley NOVA GORICA (SLO) against Nova KBM Branik MARIBOR (SLO).
