MARIBOR – The first match of the semi-finals in the MEVZA volleyball league was played. In the Slovenian showdown, the guests from Ljubljana were better.
The first semi-final match saw three sets of top-quality volleyball, only one of which saw the guests from Ljubljana completely outplaying the home team Merkur Maribor.
Despite the defeat and the almost impossible task, coach Sebastijan Škorc was satisfied after the game:
“It was a really top performance at times and we saw that we can compete with teams of ACH’s calibre. But when it came to situations that were more even, ACH showed why they are such a good team. We are not going into the return match with a white flag, we will try to put in our best performance and hope for a surprise”.
