But in the third set, the hosts started to push, they served really well and our reception went down. In the middle of the tie-breaker we made some mistakes, but I am really happy that my players kept sticking together and that they continued to believe in winning the match. To have emerged victorious in the end was very important for us to to maintain mental strength.”
Zsuzsanna Kiraly-Talas, captain Vasas Óbuda BUDAPEST: “In the fifth set, we showed fighting spirit and therefore we were able to come back from 9-12. That proves that we have mental strength in our team.”
Milorad Krunic, head coach OK Marina KASTELA: “That was our very first home match in the MEVZA League. If we could have won the first set, I think we would have secured three points. Nevertheless, we are happy with the score. Because our opponents are a much more experienced team than we are.”
Bruna Botic, captain OK Marina KASTELA: “I am proud of my team, I think we offered good resistance to a much more experienced team. I hope we can show that spirit in tomorrow’s match again.”
