The two top seeds of the women’s and men’s competition confirmed their status and did so in emphatic style in their respective finals. Schützenhöfer/Plesiutschnig beat the interim duo Ronja Klinger/Victoria Deisl 2-0 with Eva Pfeffer/Franziska Friedl completing the podium.
“The ambiance was amazing! It feels good to fulfil the role of event favourites and I think we delivered a series of very good performances, especially in the final, which we could win 2-0,” commented Katharina Schützenhöfer. Partner Plesiutschnig sounded very satisfied as well and emphasised that the team did not drop a single set throughout the whole competition.

With local hero Florian Schnetzer and partner Lorenz Petutschnig securing the bronze medals, Waller/Seidl were just on a class of their own as they stormed to a 2-0 victory in the gold medal match against Matthias Seiser and Moritz Kindl.
“The very fact that we could win every match in straight sets shows that we are in good shape. It is unreal what the organisers managed to deliver here and it was a lot of fun to play.”
