A national workshop will be taking place today, on Tuesday, June 22, in Bratislava, Slovakia, following on similar actions previously run in other countries (Estonia, North Macedonia) involved in the School Project funded by the Erasmus+ programme. The workshop will include a theoretical and a practical session, with participation of some 65 coaches and physical education teachers from across Slovakia.

On the eve of the workshop, the CEV delegation comprising of Kristof De Loose, Katrina Reuter and François Watthez, and representatives of the Slovak Volleyball Federation – Marek Prokes and Jozef Mihalco plus Andrej Vojcík, who is the local project coordinator – fine-tuned the preparations ahead of tomorrow’s clinic in a preparatory meeting.

The workshop was originally due to take place in March of 2020 but the parties had to postpone it following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Slovak Volleyball Federation has worked hard to make this workshop possible by late June / the end of the school year, making sure it goes ahead in full compliance with all the current sanitary measures and restrictions. The workshop – both the theoretical and practical sessions – will be taking place at the Dom Športu in Bratislava.
With his wealth of experience from previous such clinics and immense creativity, which came to the fore during the first lockdown imposed across Europe by the coronavirus pandemic, Belgian instructor and coach Kristof De Loose will present and deliver a series of entertaining exercises specifically designed to work with young players at the entry level of the game.
