Not even a week after the completion of the league round, the CEV Volleyball European Silver League Women is back in action and back in Maribor, Slovenia for the Final Four of the competition that is scheduled to take place on the 11thand 12th of June.

The four teams getting on the court are Pool A winners and tournaments hosts Slovenia, together with Austria, the runner-up of Pool A as well as Pool B winners Portugal and runner-up Bosnia & Herzegovina.

In the first semifinal, Portugal will face Austria, two teams that had a similar run in the league round, with Portugal managing an extra win and an extra point in the rankings (Portugal- 14 pts vs Austria 13 pts). Aida Mehic (75 pts) and Nikolina Maros (61 pts) are expected to be the main driving forces for Austria while for Portugal Maria Lopes (71 pts) and Marta Hurst (69 pts) are also expected to give a huge helping hand to their team if they are to reach the Final.
While playing on home court might give the hosts Slovenia a welcomed boost in their hopes of winning the European Silver League title, they will first have to get over the hurdle of the Bosnian team in the second semifinal, a team that managed impressive performances in the league round when they won against Portugal and only suffered 2 defeats out of four matches. Bosnian star player Dajana Boskovic (94) is currently 2nd in the top-scorer ranking, 24 pts behind leader Polina Malik from Israel.
All matches from the CEV Volleyball European Silver League Women Final 4 will be streamed live on CEV’s EuroVolley TV.
