Marek Pakosta will stay at the helm of the Czech Volleyball Federation (CVF) for another four-year term following the General Assembly and elections held on Saturday in Prague. Pakosta, who has been CVF President since 2017, received 139 of the 144 votes cast from the delegates attending the General Assembly of the national governing body of Volleyball. His sole rival was former international player Jiri Popelka.

The General Assembly elected ten members of the CVF Board of Administration as well. These are Jakub Novotný, Martin Gerža, Vít Marík, Radek Hacaperka, Miroslav P?ikryl, Tomáš Zedník, Petr Juda, Jakub Lejsek, Roman Macek, and Vavrinec Pecinka – who join CVF President Marek Pakosta.
“When I look at those elected today, I am convinced that they are the right people, who will help and support the development of Volleyball in the Czech Republic at all levels,” added the re-elected President.

The General Assembly took place under strict hygiene and medical protocols with COVID-19 pre-testing of all the delegates present on site.
