Zadar, Croatia. Middle European Volleyball Championships in the women’s U17 and men’s U16 are underway in Zadar, Croatia. A total of 13 teams, six in the women’s and seven in the men’s are playing for the Middle European Crown and an early ticket for the European Championships in the same age-groups that will happen later this year. After a day and a half packed with volleyball action from morning until evening on three competition courts at two different venues in Zadar the pool stage of the championship is complete.
Teams were split into two pools per gender with three or four teams in it. After facing each opponent in their respective pool once, the two best ranked teams advanced to the semifinals, which will be played later on today, starting from 17h. The third and fourth ranked teams play for 5th to 8th place.
