Ljubljana, Slovenia. With today’s introduction, young Volleyball players from across Slovenia are starting a series of on-line physical preparation sessions organised by the Volleyball Federation of Slovenia (OZS), in cooperation with renowned coaches from the 2A Sports Lab. More than 900 children aged nine to 18 have applied for the programme.
Unfortunately, measures adopted in response to the COVID-19 pandemic still severely limit the training of young Volleyball players in Slovenia, and despite the efforts of many coaches and clubs to provide their players with at least basic training many children are still left without any regular activities.
These on-line sessions aim at obtaining or maintaining physical preparation, especially strength, mobility, endurance, coordination, and at securing a safe and smooth transition to a regular training process, when allowed. Sessions led by renowned coaches from the 2A Sports Lab will take place two to three times per week and will be adapted to age groups and the current state of physical preparation of the young participants.
By registering, the participants undertook to regularly attend sessions and train to the best of their ability.
