The 2020-2021 edition of the MEVZA League will resume on Friday evening, when defending champions ACH Volley LJUBLJANA (SLO) will be aiming to extend their winning streak to five matches in a row at SK Zadruga AICH/DOB (AUT).
The Champions League participants from Slovenia have not dropped a single point in the four MEVZA League matches they have contested so far. ACH Volley LJUBLJANA currently sit in second place – just one point behind their compatriots OK Merkur MARIBOR. Therefore, the ‘Orange Dragons’ want to take the opportunity to recapture the top spot in the table.
SK Zadruga AICH/DOB, on the other hand, had to cope with some setbacks in the past weeks. The team from Carinthia has lost four out of their five MEVZA League matches so far. That is why they will go into the game as clear underdogs. However, the hosts have nothing to lose in the clash with the ten-time competition winners.
