MYJAVA – In an impressive display of skill and strategy, TJ Spartak Myjava, the hosts of the second MEVZA tournament, clinched a significant 3-1 victory against Croatian team HAOK Mladost Zagreb.
Vitalii Osipov, the head coach of TJ Spartak Myjava, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance. “This win is crucial for us, and I am delighted with the three-point margin. Initially, our opponents from Zagreb had the upper hand, but we turned the game around at the end of the second set. From that point onwards, we outplayed them,” he remarked.
Luka Smolej, a player from HAOK Mladost, reflected on the loss: “It was an important match for us, and we played well. However, our numerous errors, particularly in service and reception, cost us dearly. To win such matches in the MEVZA league, we need to maintain a higher level of focus and deliver stable performances.”
This result not only marks a significant achievement for the host team but also sets the stage for an exciting and competitive tournament ahead.
