The Snow Volleyball season has finally gotten underway – with the very first event of the year organised by the Hungarian Volleyball Federation at a truly iconic venue right in Budapest downtown. As many as 20 teams joined the junior and senior competitions held in the Hungarian capital city, and the crowd really enjoyed the great battles they witnessed right next to Vajdahunyad Castle, at the City Park Ice Rink of Budapest.

CEV President Aleksandar Boricic and his colleagues from the CEV Board of Administration paid a visit to the national championships as they are currently spending a few days in Budapest for their last plenary meeting of the year 2021 – as well as to attend the celebrations for the 75thanniversary since the establishment of the Hungarian Volleyball Federation.

The well-established and experienced Beach Volleyball players Panna Gyori, Szandra Szombathelyi and Lilla Villam claimed the women’s title, as the men’s final finished with the triumph of Izsák Soós, Bence Tari and Ákos Veress.
Both Gyori and Soós secured the second national championship title of their careers, since they had emerged victorious at the previous edition of the competition as well.
