Clemens Doppler (right) and Alexander Horst will play in Vienna their last tournament together
Two weeks after completion of a truly successful and memorable EuroBeachVolley, Vienna returns to host a Beach Volleyball competition – with the fourth stop of the 2021 Austrian national tour due to take place this coming weekend on the Danube Island – where the side-courts set up for the continental championship are still available, with a capacity of 1,200 seats.

This will be the very last competition that Austrian Beach Volleyball icons Clemens Doppler and Alexander Horst contest as a team. The silver medallists from the 2017 World Championships somehow already bid farewell to most of their fans two weeks ago at EuroBeachVolley – but they will take to the court one last time together. The tournament features a number of foreign teams as well as other Austrian top sides such as Christoph Dressler/Alexander Huber and Florian Schnetzer/Lorenz Petutschnig, who last week finished third at the national championships.
The prize money at stake stands at € 10,000. The competition runs from August 26 to 29 – with Viktoria Fink/Eva Freiberger, Birgit Schöttl/Anna Mayr, Magdalena Rabitsch/Anja Trailovic and Astrid Bauer/Sophie Haselsteiner as the top seeds of the women’s tournament.
