From July 23rd to 25th, 2021, the best young beach volleyball players from eight countries (Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Israel and Cyprus) will meet at the MEVZA Beach Volleyball Championships. Players in the U16 and U18 age categories take part in the tournament. The tournament takes place in the Styrian sports town of Hartberg. With TSV Hartberg and the Styrian Volleyball Association, the organization team of the Austrian Volleyball Federation has event-proven partners at its side.
Especially in these challenging times, it is particularly important for our young athletes to stay on the ball and to have a goal to work towards. In this sense, the MEVZA Beach Volleyball Championships in Hartberg will be a highlight for all young players and I’m really looking forward to the international comparison!
Valerie Teufl (Vice President Beach Volleyball – Austrian Volleyball Federation)?
The city of Hartberg and the Volleyball Club TSV Hartberg already looks back on several successful, also international beach events, outstandingly the U20 European Championship for women and men in August 2012. This year the Austrian Volleyball Federation has recommended the TSV Hartberg as the organizer for the MEVZA Beach Volleyball Championships, which we are proud of. In the exceptionally good range of sports facilities on the Hartberg campus, the teams will find optimal conditions for their top performance. Well-established people are involved in the organization of the tournament. We are pleased that girls and boys from our club, already equipped with international experience, will be able to show their talent in front of a home audience. We are looking forward to beautiful days in the sign of international meetings in Hartberg.
Manfried Schuller (Chairman TSV Hartberg – Volleyball)
It’s our pleasure, that the Austrian volleyball federation host MEVZA Beachvolleyball Championships U16 and U18 in Hartberg. In this very hard times with COVID-19 we are happy and glad to find partners for organized MEVZA Championships.
