CEV, Luxembourg. Czech Republic will be one of the four host countries for this year’s EuroVolley Men event, alongside Finland, Estonia and Poland later this summer and two of the biggest names from the Czech national team have been chosen to be part of the Ambassadors Programme.

The Ambassadors Programme brings together two fantastic players from each of the four host countries per gender. In the coming months leading up to the start of the events, the eight Ambassadors will be actively engaging with fans across all CEV platforms and beyond, taking everyone along on the EuroVolley 2021 journey via exclusive content especially designed to give fans a sneak peek into their own experiences.
Over the next days we will continue to gradually announce the Ambassadors from each host country, and after announcing the Ambassadors from Finland and Estonia, time has come to reveal the Ambassadors from Czech Republic: Jakub Janouch and Jan Hadrava.
“It is for me a great honour to be an Ambassador for EuroVolley. Especially when the European Championship will take place in Ostrava, the city where I live. For a few of us it is the top of our national team career and clearly the most important national team event so far.”
Jakub Janouch
Ambassador – Czechia
Jakub started his international career at the age of 21 and since then has been a permanent part of the senior national team (except for one season) and has played 150 matches so far.

“It is a great honour to represent my country and the Czech flag at such a big event. Especially when it will take place at home, hopefully in front of Czech spectators.”
Jan Hadrava
Ambassador – Czechia
Before getting into the senior national team, Jan was part of the youth and junior national teams. 2021 will be his 6th season in the senior national team. Prior to moving to Poland, Jan also played beach volleyball and has participated in the World Tour, European Masters, World and European Championships, Continental Cup, European Games in Baku among others.
