CEV, Luxembourg. On Wednesday night Volleyball fans could enjoy the decisive battle of the 2nd Round of the CEV Champions League Volley – Women between Calcit Volley KAMNIK and LKS Commercecon LÓDZ in the Slovenian town of Kamnik. After earning a straight-set win last week in Poland, LKS Commercecon LÓDZ needed only two sets to get a coveted ticket to the next round of the CEV Champions League Volley and already after the second set of Wednesday’s encounter they could celebrate their qualification to the 4th Round. Eventually, the away team won this encounter 3-1 (25-22, 25-22, 17-25, 25-17).

Calcit Volley KAMNIK (SLO) vs LKS Commercecon LÓDZ (POL) 1-3 (22-25; 22-25; 25-17; 17-25)
The small Slovenian town of Kamnik was eagerly awaiting tonight’s return match of the 2nd Round of the CEV Champions League Volley. With home court as a strong advantage, Calcit Volley was hoping for a surprise and their third appearance in the pool Phase of the Champions League. In the first match, they stood no chance against LKS Commercecon, with the Polish team recording a three-set win. Although the Slovenes today left a far better impression than they did a week ago, LKS Commercecon is moving forward to the elite league, while Calcit Volley will continue their European season in the CEV Cup.

LKS Commercecon LÓDZ will continue their journey in Pool C of the 4th Round of the CEV Champions League Volley with VakifBank ISTANBUL (TUR), ASPTT MULHOUSE VB (FRA) and VC Maritza PLOVDIV (BUL).
