The event is set to start today, 30 July and will end on Sunday, 2 August, with almost 50 teams from 10 different countries battling out to reach to latter stages of the competition and claim a medal.
Fans from all over the world will be able to join the experience as the CEV will be streaming the final day of the competition, including all medal matches, LIVE on the official Youtube Channel and EuroVolley.TV.
Clemens Doppler: “It feels great to be part of an international tournament again. I didn’t think that would be possible this season, regarding international tournaments. Slovenia is good for us because it’s very close to Vienna and there is no pressure in earning or loosing points, so for us the goal is to go there and find the rhythm of participating in an international tournament, against international teams. We are really looking forward to Slovenia.”

The Austrian pair of Doppler/Horst is regarded as one of the event’s favorites, however after such a long break the pressure is off as teams are looking to gain match rhythm and find their feet on the sand again, “Of course it would be nice to win more games than we lose, but we need the rhythm again of an international tournament. We need the ball touches and I wouldn’t say the goal is to get a medal, which it usually is, but the most important thing is to find that rhythm again. If we play good volleyball I think we can go far, if we don’t, we loose and go home earlier than we want. I hope we will be there until the end of the tournament.” said Clemens Doppler.
