This weekend we will see the second last tournament round for this MEVZA Cup season, both for women and men. While the positions on top of the table in the men’s competition are more or less fixed, the situation in the women’s competition is quite different. While current leader VK UP Olomouc (CZE) has a comfortable position, up to sixth placed Mladost Zagreb has a realistic chance to go for a final four place with only two losses so far. The highlight will be the tournament in Békécsabai between three clubs directly fighting for a top four position. On Friday, Linamar Békéscsabai RSE faces Calcit Volley Kamnik in their home place. Third team in this tournament is Croatias Mlados Zagreb, skips in on Saturday against Kamnik.
Two tournaments taking place in the men’s competition, one in Nitra the other one in Bleiburg. In Austria, the teams ranked 3 to 5 are facing each other. However, would be a really big surprise, if Vegyész RC Kazincbarcika could close the gap of five points to Aich/Dob and Calcit Volley Kamnik.
