Limassol is ready to welcome the brightest young beach volleyball talents from Cyprus and five other European nations for the MEVZA Beach Volleyball U18/U20 Championship 2026, taking place from 23 to 26 July at the Cyprus Beach Volleyball National Facilities in Agios Tychonas.
The championship forms part of the official competition calendar of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) and the Middle European Volleyball Zonal Association (MEVZA). Following the successful staging of last year's event, the Cyprus Volleyball Federation (CVF) has once again been entrusted with hosting the championship, reaffirming Cyprus' growing reputation as a destination for high-level international beach volleyball.
This year's tournament will bring together the national teams of Cyprus, Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Israel, competing in the U18 and U20 age categories. A total of 92 athletes will compete in 46 teams: 12 teams in each of the U20 Men, U20 Women, and U18 Men competitions, and 10 teams in the U18 Women competition.
The action gets underway on Thursday, 23 July, with the opening pool matches. The pool phase concludes on Friday, before the Round of 12 / Round of 10 knockout matches take centre stage. On Saturday, the competition intensifies with the quarterfinals and semifinals. At the same time, Sunday will see the championship reach its climax with the classification matches and finals, crowning the champions in all four categories.
Admission is free of charge throughout the four-day event, with matches taking place simultaneously on two courts from 8:00-14:00 and 15:00-21:00 daily (EEST time).
Hosting the MEVZA Beach Volleyball U18/U20 Championship 2026 marks another important milestone for the Cyprus Volleyball Federation, highlighting the country's proven ability to organise international beach volleyball events to the highest standards while contributing to the continued growth and promotion of the sport across the region
