The MEVZA Beach Volleyball U18/U20 Championship got off to an exciting start in Limassol, with thrilling matches on the sand marking the opening of a four-day tournament that promises high-level action from Thursday, 23 July, to Sunday, 26 July, at the Beach Volleyball National Training Centre on Agios Tychonas Beach.
Hosted for the second consecutive year in Limassol, the tournament has begun under the best possible conditions, leaving an excellent impression on the delegations from the six participating countries. Once again, the event highlights Cyprus’ renowned hospitality and the outstanding organizational capabilities of the Cyprus Volleyball Federation.
The event plays an important role in the continued development and competitiveness of beach volleyball in Cyprus while further promoting the island as an ideal destination for sports tourism and a proven host of major international sporting events.
The action continues on Friday, 24 July, with even more exciting matches on the schedule. The morning session (08:00 – 14:00 EEST) will determine the pool winners, who will secure direct qualification to the Quarter-Finals. In the afternoon (15:00 – 21:00 EEST), the knockout playoff matches will take place, giving the remaining teams one final opportunity to book their place in the last eight.
