To cap a busy and very productive weekend spent in the capital city of Hungary, the members of the CEV Board of Administration attended on Sunday night a glittering gala dinner organised in Budapest to celebrate the 75th anniversary since the establishment of the Hungarian Volleyball Federation.

CEV President Aleksandar Boricic extended warm congratulations to the Hungarian Volleyball family not only for their special anniversary but also for the visionary long-term strategy covering the time span from 2022 to 2034 that the organisation recently approved. Hungary has hosted a truly impressive number of major international events in recent times – including the history-breaking CEV EuroVolley 2019 Women – and will be playing host to the Final Four of the men’s Silver League in 2022.

The President of the Hungarian Olympic Committee (MOB), Krisztián Kulcsár, a two-time Olympic silver medallist in fencing, was among the dignitaries to attend the gala dinner together with representatives from the past and present of Hungarian Volleyball. Everyone agreed on wishing the Hungarian Volleyball family a bright future ahead, hoping that the next generation of Volleyball players will be able to repeat the success achieved by the pioneers of the sport back in the 60s and 70s.
