The titles of Queens and Kings of the Court Utrecht 2021 are up for grabs since Wednesday, August 25. A new thrilling and exciting way to play and enjoy beach volleyball is back to be experienced in its full power. A line-up full of crown princesses and princes is eager to prove their royal worthiness in front of a packed corona-proof stadium on the Jaarbeursplein in downtown Utrecht. CM.com King of the Court will crown its new Kings and Queens on Saturday August 28 after four days of intense elimination-style beach volleyball.
Last year’s King of the Court 2020 was the benchmark of sporting events held in times of the corona pandemic. With its groundbreaking corona-proof stadium, organiser Sportworx set the tone for hosting international sporting events again. The stadium has returned on the Jaarbeursplein and will again be home to forty international high-level teams.

Women
The line-up features a few of the best Austrian women’s players. Among them are the freshly crowned Austrian national champions Lena Plesiutschnig and Kathi Schützenhöfer. Anja Dörfler is joining forces for this event with the Spanish defender Angela Lobato. Austrian women will compete against some of the best international beach volleyball players of the world, which include the likes of German Laura Ludwig, who will be playing alongside Tokyo 4th placed Anastasija Kravcenoka from Latvia, the Olympic Bronze Medalist Anouk Vergé-Dépré and Joanna Heidrich, the newly crowned European Champions Nina Betschart and Tanja Hüberli and also their opponents in the EuroVolley Final, the Dutch team Katja Stam and Raisa Schoon.
Men
In the men’s draw 2020 King from Switzerland Marco Krattiger will form a duo with Austria’s Moritz Pristauz. Also on start are the Austrian national champions Robin Seidl and Philipp Waller, the best Slovenian team of the past years in Jan Pokeršnik and Nejc Zemljak, and the Czech interims duo of Vaclav Bercik and Jiri Sedlak.
Also the men will face some of the world’s best teams in likes of the 2018 Kings Pablo Herrera and Adrian Gavira, the whole Dutch armada, with Brouwer / Meeuwsen, Varenhorst / Van de Velde and the EuroVolley silver medalists Stefan Boermans / Yorick de Groot as the headliners.
