The regular season of the men’s MEVZA League finished with two fixtures on Saturday night. SK Zadruga AICH/DOB (AUT) edged Mladost Ribola KAŠTELA (CRO) in a thrilling tiebreaker 3-2 (25-23, 25-15, 23-25, 25-27, 16-14) on home soil. Therefore, last year’s silver-medallists ended their campaign in fourth place on 22 points and with a 7-7 win-loss record. Fifth-placed Mladost Ribola, on the other hand, secured six wins and 20 points from their journey in the competition.
Union Raiffeisen WALDVIERTEL (AUT) suffered a straight-set (21-25, 16-25, 23-25) away loss against bottom of the table Mladost BRCKO (BIH). The Final Four tournament hosts recorded six victories out of 14 matches to settle for sixth place, right behind the Croatian side of Mladost Ribola. BRCKO celebrated four wins in their maiden MEVZA League season.

Alongside hosts WALDVIERTEL, main round winners and defending champions ACH Volley LJUBLJANA (SLO) as well as Mladost ZAGREB (CRO) and Calcit Volley KAMNIK (SLO) will contest this season’s MEVZA League Finals in Zwettl on March 4 and 5.
