The agenda covered a range of topics, with a primary focus on developments in both indoor and beach volleyball competitions, followed by a comprehensive financial report.
Cyprus was ably represented by Mr. Franklinos Andreou, the second vice-president of KOPE. At the onset of the meeting, Mr. Andreou extended a warm welcome to all attendees. A significant highlight of MEVZA’s forward-looking agenda is the contemplation of an under-age league championship among its club members, demonstrating a commitment to nurturing young talent.
In a cultural and historical engagement, the MEVZA country representatives, hailing from nations including Austria, Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Israel, and Luxembourg, embarked on a morning visit to the evocative Imprisoned Graves and the Ledra Palace. This tour, organized by Cyprus NF, aimed to enrich the visit with a touch of Cyprus’ rich heritage, and it was met with great appreciation.
The Cyprus Volleyball Federation, under the leadership of Dr. Costas Constantinou, hosted delightful dinner events for the MEVZA representatives, fostering camaraderie and goodwill.
MEVZA President Valentina Bifflin expressed her satisfaction with the outcomes of the 21st General Assembly.
