This month marks the eagerly anticipated annual MEVZA underage tournaments, where nine national teams will compete in both the women’s and men’s U18 and U20 categories for the coveted Middle European Championship title.
The women’s U20 competition is set to take place in Maribor, Slovenia, from January 3rd to 7th. The event will feature teams from Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Israel, Luxembourg, Slovenia, and Slovakia. The competition is structured into two pools, each hosting four teams. Pool I includes Slovenia, Austria, Czech Republic, and Luxembourg, while Pool II comprises Croatia, Slovakia, Hungary, and Israel.
Simultaneously, the U20 Men’s competition is scheduled in Puchov, Slovakia, featuring the same dates and eight participating teams: Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Israel, Luxembourg, Slovenia, and Slovakia. The men’s competition is also divided into two pools. Pool I consists of Slovakia, Israel, Croatia, and Luxembourg, and Pool II includes the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Hungary, and Austria.
This championship offers a fantastic platform for young volleyball talents to showcase their skills and compete at a high level, promising exciting matches and the emergence of future volleyball stars.
