Post-Match Statement:
Bruno Najdic, coach of Calcit Volley: “It may have looked like we had taken the easy way to victory, but it was far from it. I’m glad that we played a fair game with this line-up as well, we kept our heads on straight all the time, and it was very important that all the players who were sick or injured, or still are, were ready to step on the court and help the team. This is just more proof of the character of this team. I told the girls after the game that this is not my victory because we have been practically not training for the last 14 days, this was their victory, their wish. Once again I have to praise them for the right approach, for having their heads in the right place. We have a game against Koper on Saturday and then they will have nine days off.”
