Croatiano Women’s volleyball team Mladost Zagreb was victorious in first match of The Middle European League (MEVZA).
Mladost beat Slovenian team Nova KBM Branik Maribor 3-1 (25-17, 25-15, 20-25, 25-18). Croatian side played better throughout the match and they deserved this victory, and Maribor’s coach Bruno Najdi? agrees with it.
“First of all the better and stronger team won. Mladost Zagreb presented great performance in first two sets. In third set put our level higher and Mladost started with mistakes. In fourth set Mladost had two breaking periods and completed match. We played as we can in this moment but this was not enough for victory”, said Najdi?.
Head coach of Mladost Zagreb Miodrag Stojakovi? thinks his team had pressure because they played in front of their crowd.
“We had pressure because we played in our hall in front of our spectators. In first two sets we played very aggressive. Then in third set our concentration was not on high level which is usual for women team and we lost that set. In fourth set we made very good decision with substitution and that was good recipe for victory”, said Stojakovi?.
Captain of Mladost, Klara Peri?, was very happy with this victory.
