“We played the first set at a very high level but we knew that the longer the match would last, the harder it would be. I am glad that the girls were able to close the second set in our favour, which gave us a 2-0 lead and the opportunity to try some new tactical options. After all, we can evaluate today’s match in a positive way. Most importantly, we achieved another victory”, Calcit Volley head coach Gregor Rozman was satisfied with the performance shown by his players.
Tilen Kozamernik, head coach of GEN-I Volley, pointed out that this Slovenian derby was his team’s first match of the season. Therefore, it was very interesting to see how the girls would deal with the various situations. “Many things need to be corrected, but we are still at the beginning of the season and I think we are on the right track”, Kozamernik explained.
