Mladost Zagreb celebrated a straight-set (26-24, 25-18, 25-21) home win against men’s MEVZA League debutants Mladost Brcko on Friday evening. As a result, Croatia’s national champions are back on the top of the table on seven points followed bei Calcit Volley Kamnik on six points.

“I am very satisfied with the way we played today. We showed a very consistant performance. Therefore, congratulations to my players”, Mladost Zagreb head coach Rade Malevic reported after the second victory in his team’s third match this MEVZA League season. Branko Misic, head coach of Mladost Brcko explained that “my team played the first set quite concentrated, then the concentration unfortunately decreased. However, one must not forget that competing in the MEVZA League is a new experience for us!”
Brcko’s Jovan Delic topped the match scorers on a total of 19 points. Marino Marelic hammered 17 for the winning side, including four aces.
The third MEVZA League men’s match this week is going to take place at the Gradska hall in Kastela. Mladost Ribola will welcome defending champions ACH Volley Ljubljana. Both sides have recorded one victory so far.
