KAMNIK – SK Zadruga Aich/Dob defeated Spartak Myjava 3-0 in their last match of the MEVZA League tournament in Kamnik.
The first set was tied until the result 11-11 when Aich scored eight consecutive points. Half of that points were scored by Aspiotis, the best player of SK Zadruga who took the lead 19-11. The set was decided and the final result was 25-17.
In the second set, the Austrians quickly took a 7-3 lead. With two consecutive aces, SK Zadruga Aich quickly escaped for three points and then kept the advantage until the end of the set. The last point was scored by Szabo with a block.
At the beginning of the third set, SK Zadruga won points with two new aces and Spartak lagged 3-0. The Slovaks came within a point of a deficit but the continuation of the set was again characterized by Aich/Dob. After two more aces, they escaped by six points in the middle of the set and they maintained the advantage until the end of the game.
The Austrian squad won a point in the first match against Calcit Volley and in the second match of the Kamnik tournament they recorded all three points against Ribola Kaštela. The Slovaks defeated Mladost Ribola in the first round, while against Calcit Volley they were left empty-handed after a good hour of play. In three matches of Kamnik’s tournament, Aich won seven points and Slovaks remained at three.
