The Main Draw of the MEVZA Beach Volleyball Tour tournament in Bibinje continued on Friday, with all pool matches completed and the first teams advancing to Saturday’s quarterfinals.
In both the women’s and men’s tournaments, pool winners secured direct places in the quarterfinals, while the second and third-placed teams moved on to Saturday’s Round of 12.
Top-seeded Israelis Gonzalez/Danenberg finished first in Pool A after defeating the Czech pair Novotna/Mrkvickova 2-1 (16-21, 21-19, 15-9). The Czech duo advanced to the Round of 12 in second place, while Maor/Rosner (ISR) secured third place with a 2-1 win over Klerf/Delcourt (LUX).
Pool B was won by Honti-Majoros/Posztós-Szabó (HUN), who prevailed in an all-Hungarian battle against Honti-Majoros/Padar 2-1 (18-21, 21-17, 15-13). Austria’s Hammarberg/Bisanz finished second after overcoming Cosic/Bosnar Zelenika (CRO) in three sets.
In Pool C, Slovak qualifiers Reginova/Harmanova completed a perfect pool stage, following up Wednesday’s victory with a 2-0 (22-20, 21-13) win over Czech qualifiers Rudicka/Hrubanova. Hungary’s Gubik/Kiss-Bertók claimed second place after a 2-1 victory over Slovenia’s Kotnik/Puckmeister.
Pool D went to the Slovak pair Nemec Elekova/Bundzelova, who defeated Israel’s Dave/Lavie 2-1 (21-13, 15-21, 16-14). Croatia’s Sos/Biuk advanced from second place after receiving a forfeit victory against Austrian qualifiers Pfau/Elsner.

Czech favourites Semerad/Stocek topped Pool A despite being pushed to three sets by Hershko/Lanciano (ISR), eventually winning 2-1 (21-17, 21-23, 17-15). Hungarian qualifiers Borbely/Bogancs secured second place after defeating Gurdis/Durunda (CYP).
Austria’s Sponer/Petutschnig claimed first place in Pool B with a straight-sets victory over Renko/Pokersnik (SLO), while Czech qualifiers Vala/Dostal advanced after beating Skoric Budimir/Misura (CRO).
Pool C was won by Luxembourg’s Weber/Hilbert, who defeated Klemen/Holzinger (AUT) 2-0 (21-18, 21-16). Czech qualifiers Toufar/Pavlusek progressed in second place after overcoming Zelenika/Pribanic (CRO) 2-0 (24-22, 21-13).
In Pool D, Slovenia’s Mugerli/Jevsnik secured top spot with a 2-0 (21-16, 21-19) victory over Petro/Marcok (SVK). Czech qualifiers Kulis/Schinko finished second after defeating Croatia’s Devald/Repek 2-0 (21-13, 21-18).
