Volleyball Nations League action returned to Ljubljana on Sunday evening, where a packed Arena Stožice created a fantastic atmosphere for the match between Slovenia and Italy.
Although Slovenia eventually fell to Italy 1-3, the home crowd once again showed its passion for volleyball, turning Arena Stožice into one of the highlights of this year’s VNL tournament. The excellent organisation and strong attendance once again confirmed Slovenia’s important place on the international volleyball map.
Among the guests attending the match were MEVZA President Valentina Bifflin, President of the Hungarian Volleyball Federation Gabriella Vatai, and President of the Volleyball Federation of Slovenia Metod Ropret.

The gathering of MEVZA representatives once again highlighted the strong cooperation between member federations and their shared commitment to developing volleyball across the region.
Slovenia continues to establish itself among the world’s top volleyball nations and currently sits fifth in the FIVB World Ranking, a reflection of the outstanding work being done both on and off the court. The success of Slovenian volleyball, together with the growing visibility of volleyball across the MEVZA region, shows the strength and progress of the member federations in recent years.
